MALT architecture porting to FPGA Xilinx Virtex7 has been started

Some time ago we finished the development of 49-core processor prototype on FPGA and now we intend to move forward. Our plans for the nearest future are to increase the number of cores up to 200 and to release a new modification of a memory controller with DMA and atomic increment support.

Due to the project expansion, we’ve scheduled switching to a new FPGA family - Xilinx Virtex 7. Most likely, a board with XC7V585T chip will be used for prototyping, it has 1 954 560 logic cells, 28 620 kbit BRAM, 3 PCIe Gen 2 buses.
